That being said even though other mods have surpassed it I would say it is still very decent and enjoyable mod that definitely ranks in my top 5 so it is definitely worth to try it out. I personally use nothing but the 'Republic at War' Mod with it, I recommend that mod to anyone who gets this Classic Game. Compare that to FotR which has seen its release only the beginning of this year so it will take some time for it to rank higher. All in all, if you want to have fun playing in the Star Wars universe, and love using Mods, then this is the game for you.
So the fact that it has more subscriptions is more of a result of the longevity of it and it being the #1 popular mod for this game for at least 6 years I think. The modding community of this game did not have much that could compete with it for a long time as far as I know. The mod was playable even in 2011/12 in a for the time very decent state. From my PoV it has only been a few years ago when other mods have surpassed it. FotR is better than RaW but this is mostly due to RaW receiving updates at a much slower pace (the core of it is still the same as it was in 2013) however RaW is kind of the OG mod for Star Wars EaW as it is in my opinion the mod that had for the longest time the most extensive overhaul and high quality.
